Old Town Elk Grove Annual Holiday Tree Lighting

Each year the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce Leadership Elk Grove class chooses a community project to complete during the year. The group announced in April that they have chosen to partner with the Old Town Elk Grove Foundation to enhance the tree lighting ceremony and holiday décor in the Old Town corridor. With the loss of the beloved light parade in Old Town, the group was determined to make the remaining traditions even better than ever.
“While we were saddened to lose the parade in Old Town, we are very excited about the new opportunities available.” stated the Old Town Foundation’s President, Angela Perry. “The Leadership group has presented several fun and innovative ideas to enhance the holiday feel in Old Town and the tree lighting ceremony including performances, new tree and other decorations throughout the district and we are so excited to see the final product.”
The 35th Annual Elk Grove Dickens Street Faire will take place on November 26th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Live entertainment will be provided all day until the traditional count down with Santa to the tree lighting at 6:00 pm. Afterwards, please stay for cocoa and cookies with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy the Old Town Christmas Tree.
